My Review

The aroma is floral and sweet, with fruity notes and a very slight citrusy aroma. The flavors are still fruity, specifically strawberry, that blend with the floral aroma very nicely to create a well-rounded sweet wine. This wine is delicious and I will definitely be buying this again to pair with a charcuterie board!

I did not taste this wine with food, but next time I will.

My Review

This is one of my favorite wines. The aroma is fresh and sweet, with peach and light citrus notes. The flavors are still peachy and citrusy but have a slightly zesty aftertaste that lingers and develops nicely. There are also floral notes that blend nicely with the fruity tastes. Wonderful combination of flavors!

I did not taste this wine with food.

Wine Blog Welcome!

Hello! My name is Alexandra, and joining me in the above image is my dog Bentley! I am so excited for my Wine Geography course, as I am curious to learn more about wine in terms of origins, flavor profiles, preparation methods, and more! My interest in wine is partially a result of my interest in coffee as a barista. Learning about and participating in coffee tastings inspired me to try my first Wine Flight with friends at Wine Lab in Blacksburg, VA, roughly a year ago. From this first tasting, we found a wine that we enjoy during dinner gatherings and pairing with charcuterie boards! This wine is the Rinaldi Moscato D'Asti!

Aside from this one particular wine and occasional Wine Flights at Wine Lab, I am not well-versed in terms of wine.  I have tried a few other wines, and from my experience, I prefer white wines and sweeter wines, which is interesting considering I do not usually gravitate toward sweet flavors. I enjoy wines that balance the sweetness with tartness, and are not too dry. Overly-dry wines are not enjoyable to me. I also enjoy wines with notes of light and fruity flavors!

I would like to expand my horizons and learn more about the depth and versatility of wines, blends, and wine regions. I am hoping that this course will help me learn about the different wine variations and teach me more about pairings, as well as giving me the tools to better analyze the characteristics of wine during tastings!
